the krovari are a peaceful species. with a planet located in the shi'ar galaxy, they're quite a way from earth. despite being much more technologically and socially advanced, they stood by their royals.
mari savi was supposed to be the next in line - her mother's life was ending. however, the planet got some visitors. with one thing leading to another, mari found herself head over heels in love with a man and chose to leave her home behind. the romance lasted only a few weeks and mari found herself alone with nowhere to go back to - knowing she wouldn’t be welcomed back with open arms after abandoning her people.
to make matters worse, she also realized she was pregnant from the man who was nowhere to be found now. jumping from one lover to another, she traveled the galaxies during her pregnancy - and after. a little girl was born into a chaotic and hectic environment who’ll be known as JAMI.

MARI PROVED to be a rather neglectful mother, blaming the little girl for their incredibly unstable life and always seeing her as a burden. yet, she didn’t lose her light. she’s curious and adventurous. learning early on, she only had herself to rely on until one day she didn’t even have any other choice.
the fateful event would be happening on KNOWHERE. a shabby place. the severed head of a dead celestial which was now functioning as a mining colony. no place for a child to be. not that mari had ever considered that. telling the girl to stay put and that she’d be right back - which would be the last jami would see of her mother. waiting patiently for longer than she should have, jami eventually her mother wasn’t coming back and she was on her own. a couple thousand years of loneliness and fighting for survival is what followed. she had found a home in an abandoned, broken down spaceship. the only safe space she had on a planet full of outlaws.

until ... fate had pity on her.
